Last updated: April 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how EyeBreak ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
App Preferences
The App stores your break interval settings and preferences locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.
Analytics Data
The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as screen views, feature interactions, and crash reports. Firebase may collect device identifiers, IP address, and general device information. This data is used to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This collection is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Advertising Identifiers (ad-supported version only)
If you use the free, ad-supported version of the App, Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID), IP address, and other device information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This collection is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Purchase Information
If you purchase the "Remove Ads" upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive only confirmation that the purchase was made. We do not receive or store your payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
App preferences are used solely to provide the App's features, including scheduling and delivering local break reminders. We do not access, analyze, or transmit this data.
Analytics data collected by Firebase is used to understand usage patterns and improve the App. Advertising identifiers collected by AdMob are used to serve ads within the App. Purchasing the "Remove Ads" upgrade disables all ads and stops AdMob data collection within the App.
3. Third-Party Services
Google Firebase Analytics — collects anonymized usage and crash data to help us improve the App. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Google AdMob — serves ads in the free version of the App and may collect device identifiers and usage data. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
4. Data Retention and Deletion
App preferences are stored on your device and remain under your control. You can uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data. We have no copy of your data and cannot delete it on your behalf.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
6. Your Rights
App preferences are stored locally on your device and you have full control over them at all times. For data collected by third-party services such as Google AdMob, you can manage your ad preferences through your Android device settings under Google → Ads.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. To the extent any personal data is held by us, you may contact us to exercise those rights.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
