By downloading or using GhostCode ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

Moonsail Software LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the rules of the platform from which you downloaded the App (Google Play or Apple App Store).

2. What GhostCode Does

GhostCode provides tools for locally encrypting messages, generating Protected QR codes, and hiding data in images (steganography). All encryption and decryption occurs on your device. Creating or opening a Protected QR code requires a network request to our Verification Backend to confirm the integrity of your device and the App. We never receive or store your plaintext messages or encryption keys.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Ghost Mode is an optional subscription (monthly or annual) that removes ads, removes daily creation limits, and unlocks unlimited saved key storage. Subscriptions are processed by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS) and are subject to their respective billing policies.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any data transmitted through it cannot be intercepted by third parties.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your encryption keys. If you lose your keys, we cannot recover your encrypted data.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moonsail Software LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
