This Privacy Policy explains how Work Hours Tracker ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
Shift Data
The App stores your work shift records (clock-in/clock-out times, mileage, earnings) locally on your device using an on-device database. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
App Preferences
The App stores user preferences locally on your device, such as your work mode, vehicle MPG, and hourly rate. This data never leaves your device.
Location Data (Optional)
If you enable GPS mileage tracking, the App uses your device's GPS to estimate distance driven during a shift. Location data is processed on-device and is stored only as a total mileage figure in your shift record. Raw GPS coordinates are not stored or transmitted.
Analytics Data
The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data such as screen views, feature interactions, and crash reports. Firebase may collect device identifiers, IP address, and general device information. This data is used to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This collection is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Advertising Identifiers
The App uses Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID), IP address, and other device information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This collection is governed by Google's privacy policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
Shift data and app preferences are used solely to provide the App's features. We do not access, analyze, or transmit this data.
Location data, when enabled, is used only to calculate mileage for the current shift. Raw GPS coordinates are discarded after processing.
Analytics data collected by Firebase is used to understand usage patterns and improve the App. Advertising identifiers collected by AdMob are used to serve ads within the App.
3. Third-Party Services

4. Data Retention and Deletion
Shift data and preferences are stored on your device and remain under your control. You can delete individual shift records within the App, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data. We have no copy of your data and cannot delete it on your behalf.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
6. Your Rights
Shift data and app preferences are stored locally on your device and you have full control over them at all times. For data collected by third-party services such as Google AdMob, you can manage your ad preferences through your Android device settings under Google → Ads.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. To the extent any personal data is held by us, you may contact us to exercise those rights.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
